If you install/update these files with HBsetup, the
executables should be ready to run!

If you unpack to, and copy these programs from, a mounted
msdos drive (e.g., c:\), they should run OK. If you unpack
directly to a Linux directory, you probably will have to

chmod 755 <pathname>

to make hbx, hotx, hotoptim, ldw and objcopyw executable.

For both Windows and Linux versions, HotBasic source code files
use standard .txt format where lines are crlf-delimited. Thus,
the same source files may compile for both platforms using the
Windows or Linux HotBasic compilers. Remember to set your
favorite source code editor to output crlf-delimited files.
